Under the responsibility of MAKÜ PDR center director Prof. Dr. Özlem Tagay, in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Social Services, the Psychosocial support team includes volunteer academicians and volunteer students from the MAKÜ Faculty of Education PDR department, Social Services Department, and Health Sciences. From the first day, the Psychosocial support team identified the needs of 325 families by meeting with 157 in Asımın Nesli and 168 rooms in Safahat dormitory. Families were informed and directed for health and urgent needs, and individuals in need of psychological help were identified and their consultations were arranged. Individual psychological counseling was provided to 59 people in Asımın Nesli and 67 people in Safahat, and follow-up continues. Psychological help and support were provided to individuals affected by the earthquake and experiencing intense stress, and support was given for referral to psychiatry for those in more severe conditions. Additionally, psychosocial support activities were offered to primary and secondary school students at the Faculty of Education, created with the support of PDR Center and PDR Department students, within the scope of the Ministry of National Education's action plan. A total of 8 module activities were applied to 9 classes and completed. We thank everyone who contributed.
